Description

Infinit is a text-driven RPG where an AI Game Master — similar to a D&D Dungeon Master — generates all narrative, dialogue, and world reactions in real time. There are no dialogue trees and no scripted paths — you type what you want to do and the world responds.

The AI doesn't just write text. It runs the game — changing the music, moving NPCs between locations, giving and removing items, and triggering cutscenes based on your actions. A separate AI agent maintains a quest journal that tracks your discoveries and decisions. When you save, another agent writes a summary of what you were doing so you can pick up where you left off.

Set in Solhai, a Himalayan fantasy world of mountain villages, ancient monasteries, and smoldering secrets. Prayer flags snap in the wind above a valley where a mysterious substance called the Flame is changing people — and a secretive order called the Thalden Council controls who gets to ask questions about it. NPCs have their own knowledge, secrets, and trust levels. A monk won't tell you the same things a smuggler will.

It plays like a cross between a visual novel and a solo D&D session — anime-inspired character art, AI-generated cutscenes that reflect your actual story, and a world that remembers what you've done.

This is an early alpha from a solo developer. Things will break. The AI will occasionally hallucinate. Some responses will be brilliant and some won't. The alpha is completely free — every turn costs real money in AI inference, and the developer is covering all of it out of pocket.

A hand-crafted world, not an AI-generated one

The world of Solhai is not AI-generated. Every character, location, and mystery was written by hand, inspired by months of travel through Nepal and Bhutan — the mountain villages, the monasteries, the prayer flags, the sense that something ancient is just beneath the surface. The AI doesn't create the world — it brings a hand-crafted world to life.

This means every player explores the same Solhai. The same NPCs, the same locations, the same secrets waiting to be uncovered. But every playthrough is different because the AI Game Master responds to your choices. One player might befriend the smuggler and learn the truth. Another might steal from him and make an enemy. Players can compare notes and discover how differently the same world reacted to their decisions.

Infinit is built to be a platform. Right now there's one world. The vision: anyone will be able to create their own — writing characters, locations, and lore that other players can explore through the same AI Game Master.

What makes Infinit different from AI Dungeon?

AI Dungeon generates text in a generated world. Infinit generates a game inside an authored world. The world exists before you start playing — the AI's job is to bring it to life, not to invent it. The AI doesn't just write narrative — it issues structured commands that mechanically change the game state: moving NPCs, adjusting music, giving items, triggering illustrated cutscenes. Supporting AI agents maintain a quest journal and generate save descriptions. The result feels like a tabletop RPG session, not a chatbot conversation.

Developer Quote

I spent months traveling through Nepal and Bhutan, and the world of Solhai grew out of that — the mountain villages, the monasteries, the prayer flags, the secrets. I wanted to build a game where you could explore a place like that the way you would in a tabletop RPG: by telling the dungeon master what you want to do, not picking from a menu. The AI doesn't create the world — it brings a hand-crafted world to life. — neon
